Podcast, requesting a few minutes for an interview. Thanks to Mr. Jonathan for facilitating the connection in a hurry for me. Dave and I met in the Media Lounge during the hour before the show opens when they allow the media in early. This worked out well, we had a nice, quiet place to chat without too much noise or interruption. Dave is a wealth of information on all things cigar, retail, trade shows, among other things, and I thought it would be really unique to get his views on this show and share them with my readers. TPE 2020 Day 1: Martinez Cigars

he first day of the Tobacco Plus Expo, but one that caught my eye was the Martinez Cigars booth. Martinez is a little cigar factory in Manhattan, I’ve written about their cigars before and visited the factory and it’s a really neat place and they make some really good cigars. Forgive the fact that I cut my head off and tripped over my tongue and check out my interview with David and Jesus. 

 

 

If you ever visit Manhattan, I recommend a visit to this factory, and pick up a few of their cigars. It’s well worth the time and the cigars are not disappointing. Stay tuned for more from day two. I don’t know what I’ll be seeing or who I’ll be talking to!

TPE 2020 Day 1: Southern Draw Cigars

Video: CigarProp Post Barnsmoker Interview with CigarCraig

After the Drew Estate Barnsmoker a few weeks ago, Kevin and Jessica from CigarProp.com, and great friends of CigarCraig.com, stopped by the famous cigar porch for a cigar and Kevin turned on his video camera and we shot the shit for 50 minutes or so.  I share with you today the fruits of his labor, all I did was sit there and smoke. Kevin and Jessica do some very entertaining cigar and cigar product review videos, and you know how much I use the Cigar Props in my daily life. Just look at my Instagram feed and you can see me giving my props the cigars they deserve…or something like that…

The Herics Cigar Measuring Tape isn’t something everyone might need, but it certainly makes life easier if you absolutely have to know the measurements of your cigars, and you have especially hard to measure cigars, such as the box pressed cigar like the one I demonstrated on in the video. I know I’ve struggled with calculating the ring gauge of non-round cigars, not that it matters over-much in the grand scheme of things, but it adds to the enjoyment for many of us.
