News: Protocol Cigars Announces John Doe 2

I’m catching up on some news items this morning, so strap on your seatbelts.  The first one is a shop exclusive from Protocol cigars. I’m a little bit out of touch with the goings on at Protocol, but there seems to have been some changes there. I guess I need to catch up with Juan and see what’s going on. I sent him a CigarCraig sticker for his humidor door but didn’t get any feedback on it!

John Doe is the name given to unidentified males until identification can be made at a later time. The cigars will be available in 10 count bundles with a $92.50 MSRP. News: Protocol Confidential Informant Announced As Cigars International Exclusive

Here’s some news from the guys at Cubariqueño Cigar Co.  I think the first time I met Juan Cancel was at C.I. In Hamburg. I might have seen him at the Wooden Indian before that, but I introduced myself to him at C.I., and I can’t remember what the event was, but it was probably a Drew Estate event. It’s pretty impressive that a small brand like Protocol has an Exclusive at a giant retailer! Since the press release was written and sent via iPhone, I wrote and published this post via iPad!

Cubariqueño Cigar Co. announces the release of the Protocol Confidential Informant as a Cigars International Exclusive. The Protocol CI Keeps to the company’s law enforcement theme. In police jargon a Confidential Informant is known as a C.I. which happens to be the nick name for Cigars International, hence: Protocol CI.

The cigars are being produced at The LaZona Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Confidential Informant will be available in a 6 1/2 X 52 box press format placed inside bundles of 10. The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Initially 500 bundles have been produced for the project. News: Cubariqueño Cigar Co. Releasing Protocol Sir Robert Peel at IPCPR Show

I definitely received way to many press releases today!  Here’s another one. This is a new cigar from the guys at Cubariqueño Cigar Co. The artwork strays from the “P” that they’ve used on the other Protocol lines.  It’s pretty spiffy.

Cubariqueño Cigar Co. announces the release of the Protocol Sir Robert Peel as a regular production release for the 2019 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. The Cigars will be offered in a natural & maduro format. The Protocol Sir Robert Peel is produced at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The cigars will be available in a 6 x 52 box press format in boxes of 10. MSRP has been set at $119.50 per box. The blend incorporates an Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper covering Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The second blend utilizes the same filler but a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper. The cigar will become available nationally at the 2019 IPCPR located in Las Vegas.

Sir Robert Peel is regarded as the father of modern day policing. Cubariqueño Cigar Co.  again pays homage to the profession of its owners Bill Ives & Juan Cancel who are police officers. We left no stone unturned for this release.

“Both cigars are smoking phenomenal and we took the packing up to the next level” stated Juan Cancel. Cubariqueño Cigar Co. will again be partnered inside the Espinosa booth at the 2019 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here’s some news from those crazy guys at Cubariqueño Cigar Co. Will the next release be the Juan Doe?  Is that culturally insensitive for me to say?  Probably. As with all things La Zona, I’m sure this will be a great cigar, and I’m sure it will sell out in a heartbeat.  Personally, I’ve only smoked the core Protocol line, and they are excellent cigars, I never have the chance to get these  limited releases, not complaining, I just don’t chase after stuff like this! these will be gone so fast it’s probably a waste of my time to even post this…
