I have to say, I am a little disappointed that I only received a few entries, but the ones I received were VERY good. With the holiday, the technical difficulties and what-not, it’s just been a slow time. My wife, who does PR work, even commented that she’s had a very hard time getting people to respond to her in the last couple weeks. I’m going to try something a little different since there’s no way I can select a winner from the entrants. I’m going to ask you, the readers, to vote for the winner. I’ll announce the winner on Wednesday, July 13 so I have a chance to mail the box of Oja cigars to the winner before I leave for Vegas to attend the IPCPR show.
I did managed to smoke an Oja Connecticut Distinguido (Torpedo) yesterday that was quite good. It burned dead even and was not as mild as the Connecticut wrapper would lead you to believe. I think it was pretty tasty and was a nice accompaniment to a mile long walk on a nice, hot July afternoon. I smoked it to the nub on my deck after returning and was not at all disappointed. A very nice cigar.
Back to the contest. Here are the entries in the order that they were submitted. I’ve numbered the pictures, but you can easily go back and look at who posted what pictures if you want, but you can just vote for what you think is the best picture. Here they are:
OK, those are the entries, now here is the poll, place your votes and help me select a winner!

That’s it for now, please vote for a winner so I can sent this enormous box of Oja Mestizo Artefacto cigars out and the recipient can begin enjoying these sweet 6″ x 60 Nicaraguan cigars. Many thanks to Luis from Oja for providing the wonderful prize for this contest, and for the numerous samples of his cigars. I look forward to hanging out with him at the show next week.
Until the next time,
