This is a box of 10 San Andrés wrapped 7″ x 38 cigars marking his first use of the Mexican wrapper leaf. These are made at Tabacalera L&V in the Dominican Republic. In addition to the San Andrés wrapper, they have a Dominican Habano binder and fillers from the DR and Nicaragua. They only made 200 boxes of these, so this is a very special box indeed. I’ve had the pleasure of trying this brand at a local retailer. Nomad is obviously a contender. Fantastic quality. Some of the more exciting cigar blends, in my opinion , have been DR / Nic. combos as you get complexity and strength.

Is it my imagination or are there more narrow cigars being brought to the marketplace lately? It would seem so, but I have no metrics to document that. I for one am glad to see it happen. Those smaller ring gauges give a cigar blender a better chance to show off what is wrapped around his cigar and the wrapper has been said to be what provides the majority of flavor to a cigar. Thanks to the kind people at Nomad Cigar Company for the cigars and thanks to you, Craig, for putting them up for grabs.
Please remember to make the phone calls to the legislators regarding the cigar regulations that threaten our smoking pleasure. It is important that those people hear from us.

Fred visited Prohibition Lounge & Titletown Tobacco in Green Bay about a month ago. Wonderful man; wonderful cigars!
