Welcome to Friday, Day 9 and my last day of work for the year! I’ll still be getting up early for the next few days to do this, butI won’t have to run out the door when I’m done! Last night my employer had our holiday party, so I didn’t get my evening walk in, but I smoked a Foundry War of Currents West Orange on the way there. Like all the Foundry cigars, this is a unique cigar with bright flavors, and an aromatic room note (car note). I enjoyed the crap out of it, much like I’m sure Steve W will enjoy the Cayleys that he won! Please send me your address! Now, on to number 9, number 9…
Nomad Cigar Company
Day 9 features an outstanding boutique cigar from Fred Rewey’s Nomad Cigar Company. New this year is the Connecticut Fuerte, featuring an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, Ecuador Habano binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. This isn’t a mild Connecticut cigar at all, it’s got a little bit of power to it, hence the “Fuerte” designation. It’s not going to blow your head off, it’s balanced and flavorful. The Corona is 5½” x 44 and the come in boxes of 20. In addition to the box of cigars is a Nomad T-shirt (Lg) and some stickers. Many thanks to Fred for providing this great gift.

When you think Nomad you think Fred…when you think Fred you think,,,not sure what you think…cool cat and not in an animal kind of way! Interesting dude that’s for sure and makes some awesome sticks!
Recommend a Nomad to anyone who has not tried one. Fred does an amazing job blending the perfect cigar! On a separate note, the folks at Foundry have made it easy to walk into a humidor and find a foundry. Sometimes the boxes all blend together, but the Foundry stick and box stands out! Love it.

Foundry is more gimmicky with the metal band. Nothing I would buy again
Anything Nomad is great! The Foundry cigars that I have tried seem to always be well made and very flavorful…

I haven’t been able to try a Nomad yet but, would really love to. Fred’s another one of those great people in the industry that never lets up from promoting his brand.
1) The man knows how to blend and 2) when i think of Nomad I always think of the 307 and what a great stick it is… and then i think about this Nomad wings t-shirt i have and how it no longer fits because im getting old, lazy and fat and then i get a little depressed so i pour myself a nice Bourbon and well heck i’m not going to relax witha nice Bourbon without a cigar so i kick back and have a cigar and Bourbon… winner winnet. And that’s what I think of when i think of Nomad.

Fred comes to mind first when I see Nomad. Great guy that blends very tasty cigars and has lent his to CRA and my efforts to promote CRA. Have not tried thd Connecticut Fuerte yet, but know that it will be another awesome smoke.
