It’s finally the weekend! I’m now on vacation for two weeks and will be able to get some packages shipped and some projects finished around the house. I have plenty to do to keep me busy! United Cigar Retailers
It’s Day 10, and today we have an offering from United Cigar Retailers and Two Guys Smokeshop. Once again, it’s Saturday, and, depending on when you read this, you can tune in to The Cigar Authority and hear David Garofalo, Mr. Jonathan, Chuck Morrison and Barry Stein. The show airs from Noon to 2 eastern time. I listen to the podcast every week, it’s infotainment at it’s best. Today’s present is a proprietary brand from United Cigar Retailers, the Fleur de la Reine (box of 20). The Fleur de la Reine Cinq is a 5½ x 54 robusto with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Dominican binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. It’s a rich, spicy, full flavored cigar which Barry Stein gives a 93 on The Cigar Authority. Thanks to Dave and the folks at United Cigar Retailers/2 Guys Smokeshop for providing today’s present!

For those not familiar with this brand you don’t know what you’re missing. I believe this smoke is underrated at 93. Smooth smoke deep rich flavors. A must try for the novice to the experienced. Pricey, but when I can this is a definite go to.

I’ve not heard of this brand but, I do know and trust Barry’s recommendations. That being said, I hate to say this but, when I hear of anything pf a ‘United’ brand, I think of the United Supermarket here in town.

when I think of Fleur de la Reine, all I can think of is that ad that plays on The Cigar Authority breaks with the guy looking for a 5″ tall woman and the Boston cop who orders Louie to get him the cigar.

I think of a great smoke
Being the literalist that I am, what comes to mind when I think of “Fleur de la Reine” is the queen’s flower. I never really gave it to much thought before, but are there many cigars with a French name? Lots of Spanish names out there, but not many French. C’est domage, mais je voudrais les gagner.
